When you are a parent, there is a high chance that you will spend most of your time chasing them around and trying to get them to sit still. You probably won’t have much time to go and try out a new restaurant and you may not even have time to spend with your partner either. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you should miss out and there are a couple of things that you can do to try and make the most out of your evening.

Choose The Right Place
Pubs and bars are ideal for when taking the little ones out. It’s a good idea for you to try and pick a place that is family friendly. If you go somewhere that is family friendly then you don’t have to worry as much about your child being disruptive or even embarrassing. A lot of pubs can provide you with a children’s menu and this is a great way for you to make sure that there is something for everyone. It’s even worth asking to see if they have any highchairs available so that you can sit them down and eat as a family.

Never Take A Toddler Out When They’re Tired
This is an absolute recipe for disaster. When you are making your reservation, it’s a good tip for you to arrange it around their sleeping schedule. If you know that your child takes a nap at 1 pm then try and eat lunch after noon because this will help you to make sure that they are well-rested when it comes to your meal out. This may not be ideal for you, but at the end of the day, it is about their sleeping schedule and not yours.

Bring Supplies
When you have a toddler, try and bring things to keep them entertained. This is no laughing matter, you will be so glad that you packed a couple of extra bits if they do get restless. It helps to have devices such as a Smartphone or you could even bring a box of tricks with you. This could be finger puppets or even a scarf so that you can play peek-a-boo with them. This will really help you to diffuse a potentially bad situation.

And lastly, don’t get too comfortable. You may have to move tables or even leave if your child is not happy. You can’t be mad at them for this and you need to make sure that you always plan around them and their attention span. Bars are a great way for you to eat out without feeling the pressure too much, so do keep that in mind when you start getting ready to go out. You’d be glad you did!

If you know that you want to spend some time outside when summer comes around then there are a couple of things that you can do. One thing that you can do is go to the local bar. This is ideal when the hot weather comes along because it means that you can relax and get a tan without having to move from your chair. You can even take the kids with you and this is a brilliant way for you to really make the most out of your weekend. If you want other ideas as to what you can do then take a look below!

Football
One thing that you can do to keep occupied when the hot weather hits is play football with your friends. You can even hit the bar afterward and talk about that highlight touchdown play. Of course, if you want to get the kids involved then this is a brilliant way for you to do so and you can even play non-contact football if you want as well. If you want to make a day out of it then go on a bar-crawl and take some footballs with you so when you do find a patch of open grass, you can see who really is the best wide receiver.

Snooker
If the hot weather is just too much to bear then why not have a game of snooker? Snooker is a brilliant game to play with friends and you can even make wagers on who makes the next shot. When you do play snooker, it gives you the chance to socialize in your favorite bar and it also gives you the chance to take some time away from the heat.

Ping-Pong
Ping-pong is super fun and there are plenty of collapsible tables out there for you to choose from. This ultimately means that you can pack up your game whenever you are ready and it won’t be taking up a ton of room either. Of course, you can even pitch together with your friends to try and make the whole thing more affordable as well.
So as you can see, there are a couple of things that you can do to try and make the most out of your time this summer and it doesn’t matter whether you’re into outdoor games or indoor games because there is so much for you to choose from!
